Childcare  

Children are always welcome in worship, but childcare is available during the worship services from 8:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m. for all children from birth to 4 years old.  Our professional staff provides a loving environment for children to play and enjoy one another.  

The Nursery and Preschool Classrooms are located in the Drane Center, a separate building just west of the main building, adjacent to the uncovered parking lot.  You can enter through their main doors and sign in.  Or you can enter through the covered walkway on the second floor by the Elementary Children’s Wing.  

When you drop your child off, you’ll receive a wireless pager to carry with you.  If your child becomes sick or inconsolable, we will “buzz” you so that you can return to the Drane Center to care for your child.  If you would like to hear the remaining portion of the worship service, you can take your child to the Parlor to hear a live audio feed.  

Childcare is provided for off Sunday Morning Worship experiences as well. Childcare is usual available for children under 5 for other activities of the church.  Look for information for each event.   

For your child’s safety, First Presbyterian Church has a child protection policy. All paid nursery staff and all volunteer teachers or event sponsors complete an Information Form and have a national background check completed.  They also receive training.  Classrooms have two teachers for safety and supervision.
